Process

The presidential search is an important opportunity to determine how we will achieve what we have planned for the university’s future while remaining grounded in our mission. The university is prioritizing engaging broadly and thoughtfully with our collective community—students, faculty, staff, alumni and neighbors—to ensure diverse perspectives inform the search process.

Temple is also engaging with a research and strategy firm as well as a leadership advisory firm to help guide the process. In partnership with both firms and the Temple community, we have set the framework for a search process that emphasizes the university’s core values and ideals—access, affordability, diversity, inclusivity and perseverance, among many others. We are confident that this process will conclude with successfully selecting a president who will lead us on a visionary and innovative path that builds on the transformation we are already experiencing and takes us even further.
